World Refuge Day

Today is World Refuge Day. It is apparently the only day the media pays attention to the greatest humanitarian crises ever seen. Even the terminology, "humanitarian crisis," seems to minimize what we're really talking about. Every day, tens of thousands of people in our world are being murdered, raped, tortured and chased away from their homes by armed thugs. This story from today's news was particularly compelling - a grim reminder of how much of the rest of the world lives.
