Travel Time Calculator

Hotel to Toronto airport via "express bus" - 45 min
Check-in at airport to boarding - about an hour
Boarding to take-off - 45 min (couldn't start #2 engine)
Flight time to Columbus on scary little plane - 1:10
Deplane to luggage pickup - 1:45 (they lost it, found it, locked it in a closet and went to lunch while I sat staring at it through a glass window)
Columbus to Athens via my Honda (the most comfortable part of the trip) - 1:25

Total travel time: 7 hours
Total time in the air: 1:10

Apparently, to calculate your total travel time, you take your flight time and multiply by seven. So, if you're flying to Australia, you should plan to arrive sometime next Tuesday. Good think I was only coming from Canada.

hilarious. so how does the calculation work with time zones factored in?

this is precisely why i prefer road trips.

Granted, being in Columbus gives me a head-start but it's only 440 miles by land. So, I'll just ride my motor bike and save on parking, rental cars, non-working #2 engines and lost luggage.
