Snow makes the case
I'm driving to work this morning in what starts out as freezing rain, but clearly turns to snow by the time I get to my office. Now, as I type this, the large white flakes fall steadily past my office window.
I've been thinking a lot lately about where I want to go and what I want to do next in life, and Ohio is not making a very good case for itself today. It's not so much that I hate snow, as that I've already had enough of it growing up in Cleveland. I'm ready for somewhere warm - even hot - but most importantly sunny. Please suggest your favorite warm place for consideration. If I choose your city to move to, I'll send you a postcard and maybe some local confections.

If I could pick where you should live, it would be somewhere not too far from West Texas! Some of my favorite cities in Texas include: (1)Boerne, (2)Austin, (3)San Antonio... then, basically any where in the Hill Country. My favorite place I've been outsite of Texas would have to be Catalina Island (off the coast of Los Angeles). That would be more of a place to retire though. So, where should you go to live? I'd say "Come back to Texas, it ain't been the same since you went away"!
The grass is always greener, eh? Except in hot places where its always browner, or deader...
Colorado Springs is a very nice place and might be one I'd choose—though I've been hearing good things about Albuquerque New Mexico too.
It's all about comparing your current situation with other options. In Siberia, it is likely in the negative 20s already. Makes Athens seem pretty warm, eh?
In Soviet winter, warmth is found in places outside of environment.
mandie, nooooo....you can't have him! We need him here. Of course we could all transplant our church in Colorado...that'd be an adventure. i'm not sure it would solve the cold issue though.
Athens. Buy some long underwear and get over it.
i'm with paul. send me some casa salsa!
i lived in sarasota, fl, for a while and really enjoyed it. then again, i did leave it after eight months. hmm. chicago can be downright hot in the summer . . .
welcome to the blogging world, jared!
mad scientist,
I like Vodka as much as the next guy, but I think I'm looking for more than a little inner warmth!
